Apple Enhances Business Connect with New Features for Improved Brand Visibility and Customer Engagement
18 Oct, 2024
Apple's Business Connect service has received updates aimed at enhancing how businesses share their information across various platforms. This tool allows both individuals and organizations to manage their brand presence through Apple's ecosystem, even in the absence of a physical location. The newly introduced capabilities will enable businesses to present their branding in Apple Wallet, Mail, and Maps, thereby improving customer engagement. Additionally, Apple aims to mitigate spam calls by displaying verified brand details during customer interactions.
With the latest enhancements to Apple Business Connect, businesses will now be recognized on the Mail and Phone applications. When customers receive communications from verified brands, they will be able to see the company's name and logo within these apps. To utilize the Branded Mail feature, businesses must undergo a registration process, which is currently open for submissions through the Business Connect platform. After verification, Apple will display the company's logo to customers in the forthcoming months.
The company has also announced a feature called Business Caller ID, designed to provide more transparency for incoming calls. This feature will display information about the employee calling, such as their name and department, alongside the company logo. However, this update is expected to roll out next year, according to Apple. Additionally, third-party applications like Truecaller facilitate the visibility of verified company information, assisting customers in recognizing reputable businesses.
Businesses located in various countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States will similarly have the ability to showcase their logo when utilizing the Tap to Pay feature on iPhone. This enhancement will replace the standard category icon on payment screens, offering customers more context during transactions.
To access these new Business Connect features, companies must log in with their Apple ID. Notably, Apple will not impose any charges for customizing brand information, ensuring that both physical and online businesses can benefit from these offerings.
